Day-1ARRIVAL DAY

    Welcome to Italy!

    After landing in Rome, your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will be waiting for you at the terminal. Please share a warm ciao!

  2. Transfer to 4* hotel Diana Roof Garden

    Our private coach will be waiting for you outside the terminal. As soon as the group is ready the driver will drive directly to the 4* hotel Diana Roof Garden

    Selected 4* hotel located in the town center will be our choice in Rome for this tour

Day-2ROME HALF DAY TOUR, COLLE PICCHIONI WINERY & CASTEL GANDOLFO

  1. Breakfast

    Every morning continental breakfast will be served for all our guests. Wide choice of cold cuts, fresh croissants, eggs and fruits will be available

  2. Rome Half Day excursion

    Your Sweet Travel Italy assistant and the English speaking guide will lead the group to discover Rome with a private bus. Discover the beauties of the eternal city, walk some of the most important monuments ever created by human hand and visit the places where the Roman empire was born. Exquisite artefacts, opulent churches, great art collections, delicious cuisine, everything makes this city a memorable experience.

  3. Transfer to Colle Picchioni winery

    Around this time your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will take the group outside the city center to explore the first vineyard. Today's wineries are all owned by Italian families and provide some of the finest wines in Lazio region

  4. Visit of Colle Picchioni winery 📍

    It is more than 50 years that the Di Mauro family expresses at best the vocation of producing wine in Rome. Today's third generation Valerio and Laia have increasingly improved the quality of their wines exporting internationally. The ground where the vineyards are located is of peculiar nature, made of volcanic debris, which gives a natural strong taste to their wines. Here together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant explore the vineyards and the cellars and listen to the explanation by the family members of Colle Picchioni. After the visit, Valerio the owner will invite you to lunch that will be served in the vineyards for all the participants

  5. Lunch in Colle Picchioni winery

    A delicious meal is included in the tour price. A wide selection of wines and local gourmet products will be served for all the participants. Take some rest under the grape leaves and savour the first selection of wines in this unforgettable Rome wine tour

  6. Transfer to Castel Gandolfo

    The afternoon is dedicated to the visit of Castel Gandolfo, small town laying on the shores of the Albano lake. This lake is a volcanic crater and its gentle greenish slopes were chosen by Pope Urban in the 17th century as summer residence. Since then the Pope has always resided in Castel Gandolfo during the summer season

  7. Visit of Castel Gandolfo town

    Castel Gandolfo is part of the legend of Alba Longa league, the first Latin city league before Rome was born. Walk this amazing place where botanical and archaeological beauties mix. Your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will show you the many hotspots and explain the history of Castel Gandolfo town. The Pope palace was erected on the same spot where Roman emperor Domitian had first built his villa. Sublime atmosphere and great pictures are the menu for this perfect afternoon

  8. Transfer to the hotel

    After a relaxing time in Castel Gandolfo discovering the fascinating corners and trying the local gelato, your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will gather the group for the transfer to the hotel. Our minivan will drive to Rome hotel. Tonight's dinner is not included in the tour price. Please ask your Sweet Travel Italy assistant for tips on where to eat tonight

Day-3MONTE PORZIO CATONE, SANTA BENEDETTA WINERY & FRASCATI

  1. Breakfast

    Every morning continental breakfast will be served for all our guests. Wide choice of cold cuts, fresh croissants, eggs and fruits will be available

  2. Transfer to Monte Porzio Catone

    It is a small town in Castelli Romani area, south of Rome. Monte Porzio Catone like the sister towns is the preferred summer destination for many Italians who choose Castelli Romani for the quietness and the refreshing spots during the scorching Roman canicula

  3. Visit of Villa Falconieri & Villa Mondragone 📍

    These luxury villas, home of the Pope in 16th and 17th century are the main focus of the morning visit. The architecture of the buildings and the surrounding gardens are masterpieces of great architects of the past. Villa Mondragone has the name of the Gregorius family. The symbol is in fact a dragon. Your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will explore with you these villas and share some of the most important stories about these fascinating places

  4. Visit of Santa Benedetta winery

    Santa Benedetta winery is the oldest wine factory in Castelli Romani. Located between Frascati and Monte Porzio Catone, the vineyards of Santa Benedetta winery look at Rome from an elevated hill next to the eternal city. It is more than 2 centuries they produce wine and extra virgin olive oil of the best quality

  5. Lunch in Santa Benedetta winery

    Together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant walk through Santa Benedetta vineyards, and meet the family that is producing some of the greatest wines of the area. After the tour, a delicious meal will be served for all the participants. Remember at Santa Benedetta winery they like to make fresh pasta. Join them in the kitchen during the preparation. Lunch is included in the tour price. 

  6. Transfer to Frascati

    Italians usually drink coffee after lunch. Of course, an Italian espresso! Or would you like another glass of white wine? Did you know Frascati town gives the name to the wine produced in this area? Together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant and our minivan drive to Frascati for the afternoon and visit this small gem in the heart of Castelli Romani

  7. Visit of Frascati

    This quiet town is home to one of the most important wines of the area: the Frascati. Walk together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant to discover the small roads that once were crossed by cardinals and popes. Admire the beautiful aristocratic Villas built all around the town like the famous Villa Aldobrandini that was first erected in 16th century by a cardinal

  8. Transfer to the hotel

    Around this time, after spending the afternoon exploring Frascati, your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will gather everyone in the main square and lead the group with the minivan back to the hotel in Rome city center. Dinner is not included in the tour price. Please feel free to ask for recommendations to your Sweet Travel Italy assistant

Day-4TENUTA PALLAVICINI WINERY, CASALE MARCHESE WINERY, MARINO & ARICCIA

  1. Breakfast

  2. Transfer to Castelli Romani

    Today discover two "noble" wineries. Both have more than 300 years and produce wine since then. Together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant you will walk the towns of Ariccia and Marino in Castelli Romani, two quiet towns where the life rhythm is dictated by the grapes growing in the vineyards. You will then discover the local food called porchetta in Ariccia, where people from all over Italy reach this place to taste the original one. Take some great shots of two lakes in the area

  3. Visit of Tenuta Principe Pallavicini 📍

    Tenuta Principe Pallavicini is a winery located in Colonna, one of the small towns in Castelli Romani. Established in 1670, it is one of the oldest vineyards in Italy and is still owned by the Pallavicini family. The vineyard produces a variety of wines, including red, white, and sparkling, using indigenous Italian grape varieties. This is the first vineyard you will be visiting today together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant

  4. Visit of Casale Marchese winery

    The original owner was a close friend of Caravaggio: the Marquis de' Cavalieri in the 16th century AD. Since then the wine production has always been the center of the family business. After more than 500 years the same strength, the same will to produce one of the finest wines in the area is their life goal

  5. Lunch in Casale Marchese winery

    Here at Casale Marchese after the visit of the vineyard you will be showed a marvellous room and presented a selection of wines to taste together with a delicious Italian meal. It is time to enjoy the Italian food culture at its finest

  6. Transfer to Marino town

    Are you full of delicious Italian food? After the lunch it is time to discover another town in Castelli Romani: Marino. You will be left some time to walk around and have a glimpse of Italian life in this small town

  7. Transfer to Ariccia

    After a long walk in Marino, the tour continues to Ariccia. This small town is home to one of the greatest delicacies that you will find in central Italy. Do you know what porchetta is? Taste one of the favourite dishes of the Italians. Sit in a local Fraschetta and savour the slowness of time by drinking some wine and taste this local dish, porchetta, made of crispy pork cooked over natural wood and stuffed with herbs

  8. Visit of Ariccia 📍

    Being near to Rome and favoured by a fresher climate, Ariccia was chosen by many of the Rome's rich bourgeoisie as a location for their leisure villas. The Pope Alexander VII lived for long periods in Ariccia and drastically changed its character, with important contributions from the prominent Baroque sculptor and architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini, designer of the piazza of St. Peter Basilica in Rome. Among Bernini's rich contributions to the character of the town were the main square and the Santa Maria Assunta church which faces the local palace of the Pope

  9. Dinner

    Have a seat in one of the local Fraschetta (restaurant that only serves local food) in Ariccia. Meal includes porchetta sandwich, sausages, fresh vegetables white wine and water. In case of allergies or intolerances, please advise your Sweet Travel Italy assistant for alternative menu. Eating together is key in Italian culture and you will be sharing the table with new friends. Today's dinner is included in the tour price

Day-5DEPARTURE DAY

  2. Check out from 4* hotel Diana Roof Garden

    Your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will help you with the check out process and the collection of the luggage for the transfer to the airport or to another location of the combinable tours offered by Sweet Travel Italy

  3. Transfer to Rome Fiumicino International Airport 📍

    Our minivan will take the group to Rome Fiumicino International Airport where your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will help the group with the check in process. Make sure you have all the souvenirs packed! We hope you have enjoyed this Rome Wine Experience
